Son of Jefferson Davis Smith, M.D. & Nettie Elizabeth Ashley Smith.
An excerpt from the obituary of Dr. Jefferson Davis Smith: "A son, Dr. Cecil Smith, a dentist, lost his life in World War I...".
(Note that even though part of his military information is carried on his gravestone, the gravestone is a Woodmen of the World marker.)
