Telman "Wayne" Blevins, age 69, of Bentley, entered eternal rest on
Saturday, August 30, 2008, at his residence in Bentley, Louisiana.

He was a native of Violet Hill, Arkansas. He was a U.S. Air
Force Veteran for twelve years, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a
retired appliance repairman for Ray’s Appliance for 32 years. In his
leisure time he loved reading, flying, taking pictures and watching
western movies.

Mr. Blevins is preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and
Alverda Blevins; one grandson, Caleb Scott Blevins; one daughter-in-
law, Lisa Ann Blevins.

Mr. Blevins is survived by one son, Stephen Blevins of Tioga;
one daughter, Stephanie Simmons and husband Dain of Bentley; one
brother, Lindle Blevins and wife Carolyn of Violet Hill, Arkansas; two
sisters, Carolyn Gillihan of Melbourne, Arkansas, Beverly Glasser and
husband Don of Melbourne, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Dainey Simmons,
David Simmons, Curtis LaCombe, Daina Simmons, Dustin Simmons and Tyler
Blevins.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Farveiw Baptist Church in Violet Hill. Interment will follow in the Violet Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 9:00 A.M. to service time at 11:00 A.M.

Pallbearers will be Brooks Blevins, Kermit Blevins, Donald
Glasser, Daniel Glasser, Mason Gillihan and Al Gillihan.

A special thanks to Janice, Todd and Crystal with Journey Hospice.

(Note: His middle name is spelled Dwayne on the headstone and Duwaine on the military gravestone at the foot of the grave.)
