Opal H. Schroeder, 93, resident of Springdale, died Dec. 4, 2005, in Springdale. Born Nov. 29, 1912, in the Silent Grove community, she was the daughter of Charlie and Bird Mustain Hershey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Schroeder on April 20, 1970, one daughter and son-in-law, Betty Lou and Richard Walden, her parents, one brother, Clarence Hershey.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Adella Roberts and husband Joe Allen of Springdale; six grandchildren, Rick Roberts and wife Lisa of St. Louis, Mo., Janie McGaugh and husband Ron, Teresa Harrison and husband Billy, all of Springdale, Mike Walden and wife Chris of Los Angeles, Chock Walden and wife Trina and Cathy LeFebvre and husband Doug, all of North Little Rock; four great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons. Special caregivers, Margie Arredondo and helpers and Circle of Life Hospice caregivers, Cindy and Laura.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Stanton Cram officiating. Burial will be in Silent Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 6 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rick Roberts, Charlie Roberts, Chock Walden, Billy Harrison, Branden Harrison and Ron McGaugh.
