NOTE: Joseph Bolinger Aug 27 1813 - June 14 1872 was the first burial in the Witter Cemetery. The men of the community were constructing the first school house at this location, and Joseph Bolinger died while working on the schoolhouse. He was buried here and that was the beginning of the Witter Cemetery.
