Funeral services for Mr. Robert F. Emerson, age 76 of Mountain Home will be 10 AM Wednesday at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerrel Venable officiating. Bill Barker, David Dudley, Joe Kordik, Sonny Emerson, Sammi Harmon and Ed Foreman will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Bartley, Ronnie Bartley, Kurt Baker, John Haile and Stanley Sullivan. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-8:00 P.M. at the Roller Funeral Home. Mr. Emerson passed away February 12 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Robert F. Emerson was born December 9, 1928 to James and Velva (Lively) Emerson in Colt, Arkansas. He married Berniece Detloff Emerson. Mr. Emerson was a retired Master Diesel Mechanic from the Local 150 Union, Operating Engineers Unit. He was a member of the a Masonic Lodge in Chicago, IL. Mr. Emerson was a member of the Emmanuel Church. He enjoyed Cohoes fishing, boating, rv riding and skeet shooting.

Mr. Robert F. Emerson is survived by his wife Berniece Emerson; daughter: Phyllis Barker and her husband William of Astor, FL; Son: James Emerson and his wife Suzanne of Camp, AR; Step-son: Joe Kordik and his wife Karen of IL; Grandchildren: Kim Bartley and her husband Ronnie of Longwood, FL and Dana Baker and her husband Kurt of Jacksonville, FL; Great Grandchildren: Trey and Emily Bartley; Step-grandchildren: Stephanie, Amber, Anthony and Amanda Kordik; Sister: AnneBea Matturo of Phoenix, AZ; Brothers: Richard “Sonny” Emerson of Elgin, IL and Doyen Emerson and his wife Eula of Pleasant Plains, AR.


Mr. Emerson was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Ebb Emerson.
