Helen was born in Illinois the daughter of Julius George and Hattie Halsted (Roeper)Schwytzer. On June 3, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, Helen married Doy Capps.

Helen Schwytzer Capps, 78, retired bookkeeper: Helen Schwytzer Capps, 78, of Mountain Home died Aug. 4 at the Baxter County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Capps was a retired bookkeeper. She had lived here for 10 years. Born in LaGrange, Ill, Feb. 23, 1908, she was the daughter of Hattie (Roeper) and Julius Schwytzer. She married Doy Capps June 3, 1939 at LaGrange. Survivors are her husband; one son Danny Joe Martin of Salinas, Kansas; a stepdaughter, Doylene Kleeman of St. John's, Mich; a brother, Howard Schwytzer of Wyoming, NY, six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews. Mrs. Capps was a member of the Mountain Home Bridge Club, Lady Elks, Extension Homemakers Club, and the Baxter County Hospital Auxiliary. She was a protestant. The funeral was Aug. 7 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William R. Vogelsang officiating. Entombment was at Baxter Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
