Leonard C. Blevins, 87, son of Charles Albert Blevins and Grace Thurman (Beaver) Blevins, was born March 25, 1918, in Violet Hill, Ark. He died on April 21, 2005, in Salem, Ark.
During his working years, he was a rock mason and farmer. He retired from the Arkansas Highway and Transporation Department after 25 years of employment.
He married Sandra Wallace March 17, 1993, in Melbourne. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Blevins; two sons; a step-son; four sisters; a brother; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and three brothers.
The funeral was April 24 at Fairview Baptist Church with Bobby Cochran officiating. Burial followed at Violet Hill Cemetery with arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers were Bobby Bookout, Jim Campbell, Jim Harber, Kenneth Haney, Phillip Olson, Marty Sellars and Lee Watson.
