Bernadine “Bernie” Wilhelm Dickson, age 92, of Morrilton, Arkansas passed away December 20, 2019. She was born December 20, 1927 in Strasburg, North Dakota. She was the ninth of 14 children to Joseph Wilhelm and Karolina Kelsch Wilhelm. As a young girl, Bernie only completed her education to the eight grade but as an adult went back to get her GED at Petit Jean Vo-Tech. (UACCM).
Bernie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a 53 year member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society and took Communion to the sick and shut-ins. She also volunteered her time for many years at the annual Sacred Heart Bazaar, working at the spaghetti dinners. She was an active member of the Hilltoppers Home Extension Club. She enjoyed the friendship of all the ladies and loved working at the Conway County Fair Exhibit Building with them. She loved helping and visiting the elderly.
Bernie spent fourteen years working at the local Morrilton Walmart. After her retirement, she had more time to enjoy her family, especially her seven grandsons.
Bernadine is survived by her three daughters: Glenna (Bobby) Wofford of Morrilton, Wanda (Randy) Pettingill of Morrilton, Karen (John) Feltner of Fayetteville; grandsons: Taylor Feltner, Wade Pettingill, Brent (Brittany) Pettingill, Travis (Laura) Feltner, Chase Feltner, Grant (Sarah) Feltner, Clayton Wofford; and two great-grandchildren: Mila and Isler Feltner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 12 years: Glen Wade Dickson, her parents, and 12 siblings.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jack Harris and Deacon Steve Mallett officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Morrilton. Rosary will be from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. Sunday, December 22, with visitation following at Harris Funeral Home Chapel.
