Shirley Jean McDonald Schober, 71, of Barling, formerly of Lamar, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
A native of Etowah, she was a daughter of the late Nomer and Bertha Hivley McDonald, retired, member of First Methodist Church of Barling, and was preceded in death by four sisters, Marie Jones, Frances McCallum, June Hall, and Nina Tadlock; and two brothers, Odell McDonald and Cleason McDonald.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Jean Stacks of Norfork; two sons, Randy Delano Roddy of Lavaca and Phillip Wayne Roddy of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Olean Curtright of Osceola; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at Brockwell Tabernacle with Rev. Rick Burke officiating.
Burial was at Violet Hill Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
