FAYETTEVILLE -- James Albert Johnson, 85, of Fayetteville died Jan. 5, 2010, at Fayetteville City Hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Fayetteville to Albert and Marie Lane Johnson.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs and served in the Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rhoda Johnson; two aunts, Hannah Hunton and Bonnie Hulet.
Survivors include his cousins, Imogene Powlowski of Siloam Springs, Lillie Smith of Neosho, Mo., Tom Hunton of Bentonville, Clara Self of Springdale; and numerous other family members.
Services were Jan. 7 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Burial was in the Beaty Cemetery in Lincoln.
