This is taken from the books by Margie Garr which are more or less an index to the Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home.

Dated July 14, 1944 - Killed in Action – Pfc. Ben Pittaway, June 21 in France, son of Mr and Mrs Ernest C. Pittaway. Survivors are his parents, three sisters; Ruth, Evelyn and Adella, six brothers; Phillip and Gifford, both over seas, Walter of Camp Crowder and Joe, Clinton and Robert of the home.

Dated Nov 19, 1948 – Military Services for Pfc. Benjamin George Pittaway 22, died in France June 21, 1944. Burial was in Reeds Grove Cemetery.
