Ben F. Teegarden, Jr. (known to all as Junior) son of the late Ben F. and Eula Mildred Warner Teegarden, was born on September 26, 1945, in Iuka. He died November 17, 2001, in Mt. Home. He was 56.
Mr. Teegarden was a native of Baxter County. He went to school, worked and lived here all his life. He worked as a logger, bulldozer operator, and farmer. Junior spend seven years in the Army National Guard. He was of the Christian Faith.
He was united in marriage to Caroly Faye Sanders on June 28, 1980, in Dolph.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Teegarden of the home; two daughters, Karen Ketchum of Yellville, and Kristy Williams of Bergman; one son Clifford Teegarden of Osawatomie, Kansas; three sisters, Sidnie Griffith of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Peggy May of East Wenatchee, Washington and Sharon Sanders of Calico Rock; three grandchildren, Sheldon Ketchum, Laken Ketchum, and Kindell Williams; many nieces and nephews, special brothers-in-law and a host of other realtives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Rose Zella Teegarden, three brothers, Jimmie, T.J. and Howard Teegarden.
Graveside services were held November 20, 2001, at Galatia Cemetery with Wayne Wood officiating. Pallbearers were Rick Gwaltney, Dave Fender, Kenny Thornton, Dave Henderson, Mayo Hale, Joe Haley. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Skidmore, Ken Thornton, and Butch Hale.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
