Mary Viola Hendrix, 75, died at Versailles, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 5, 1983. She was born october 30, 1907, to John Arthur Lane and Julia Agnes Gray Lane.
She first married Lee Bradshw, who died June 19, 1946. Her second marriage was to Daniel E. Hendrix and he preceded her in death on April 3, 1967.
Survivors include one stepson, Bill Hendrix; one stepdaughter, Dixie Wilson; two brothers, Cecil Lane and J.A. 'Jay' Lane; and four sisters, Goldie Harder, Cleo Chapman, Irene Brown and Audrey Cunningham.
In addidtion to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, one stepson, Paul Hendrix, one brother, Joseph 'Joe' Lane and one sister Lola Lane.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 10, at the Galatia Assembly of God Church with Rev. Donald Speaks officiating.
Burial was in the Galatia Cemetery near Norfork with Gene Adams, Fank Tilley, Jim Johnson, Andy Simpson, Louis Harris and Howard Teegarden serving as pallbearers.
Arrangements were by Kirby & Family Funeral Directors, Mt. Home.
(No obituary has been located for Mary Viola Hendrix even though a funeral home memory card has been found. This obituary was constructed using information from that memory card, other obituaries and from information from genealogical research by Vera Lane Reeves and Emmit Dolan Acklin.)
