James A. Campbell, 71, of Sage passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born July 11, 1935; the son of Henry Hubert and Sarah Virginia (Blankenship) Campbell. He was a retired construction worked and a member of the Midway Baptist Church. James is survived by his son: Allan Campbell of Moorefield, West Virginia; daughters: Savannah Dockins of Oxford, Phyllis Vickery of Sage, Rhonda Campbell of Melbourne; brothers: Clay Campbell of Evening Shade, Bill Campbell of Cave City, Paul Campbell of Zion; and sisters: Cleva Tapia of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sue Romero of Tucson, Arizona. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Mary Millegene Campbell; one brother, Kenneth Campbell. Pallbearers are Bobby Campbell, Ray Dover, Harold Marlin, David Jennings, Howard Collier and Scott Watts. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Midway Baptist Church with Brother Gene Baird and Brother Joe Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Caney Springs Cemetery in Sage under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
