Virginia Sarah Blankenship Campbell, age 90, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at her home in Sage. Virginia was born on April 9, 1914 in Lonejack, Missouri to Malcolm “Mack” Blankenship and Mary Savannah Askren Blankenship. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and the Izard County Home Extension Club. Mrs. Blankenship is survived by her four sons: Jim Campbell of Sage, Clay Campbell of Evening Shade, William Campbell of Cave City, and Paul Campbell of Sage; her four daughters: Cleva Tapia of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Sue Romero of Tucson, Arizona. Other survivors include eighteen Grandchildren: Vicky Knox, Rita Autry, Stanley Campbell, Savannah Dockins, Phyllis Vickery, Allen Campbell, Rhonda Campbell, Wanda Stanford, Gina McCurly, Jennifer Barajas, Bobby Campbell, Lisa Riley, Tammy Hicks, Sarah Campbell, Audra Romero, Lona Romero, Mark Campbell, and Brian Campbell, as well as twenty-five Great-Grandchildren and seventeen Great-Great-Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Stanley Campbell, Lonnie Haley, Bobby Hicks, Rayburn Finley, Harold Marlin and Allen Vickery. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – Henry H. Campbell; one son – Kenneth Campbell; and an infant son and an infant daughter. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel with Gail Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday. Burial will be in Caney Springs Cemetery at Sage under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
