*Obituary
Mr. Bennie Freedman was born Feb. 16, 1889 to Adophus and Leola Freeman. He was converted at an early age and affiliated w/ the Church in England, AR. He was united in holy matrimony to Miss Johnnie Carr to this union were born five(5)children. After moving to the Rixey community, Brother Freeman united w/ Clayton Chapel Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend E. Dukes. He served as a faithful member until his health failed him. He departed thei life on Friday, Jan. 2, 1981 @ approximately 9:00 a.m. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Mrs. Johnnie Freeman of Jacksonville, AR; three(3) daughters, Mrs. Leola Green, and Mrs. Hattie Fennessee both of North Little Rock, & Mrs. Johnnie Mae Freeman of Jacksonville, AR; one brother, Mr. Sterling Alexander of N.L.R.; one sister, Mrs. Blanchett Wade of St. Louis, Missouri; 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives & friends.
