PRAIRIE GROVE — Wayne Everett Strickland, 78, of Prairie Grove died Nov. 23, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Osceloa, Ind., to Frank Forrest and Grace June Harding Strickland.
He was a veteran of World War II. He was a college graduate with a degree in philosophy, and he was a pilot and enjoyed flying.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Dawn Strickland of the home; one son, Gregory Evan Strickland of Hanford, Calif.; one brother, Ed Strickland of Indiana; one sister, Iris Fairbanks of Monroe, La.; and two grandchildren.
A service of remembrance will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.
