PRIVATE US Marine Corps
December 28, 1915 - August 24, 1997

LeRoyce 'Bud' Linn enlisted in the U.S. Marines during World War II. Because of a health issue, he was not allowed to fight overseas and was eventually honorably discharged from the service.

Despite a doctor telling him he should never have been allowed to enlist in the first place, Uncle Bud tried repeatedly to get back into the service, but was never allowed to re-enlist (that's per my dad who said that Uncle Bud did not want to be discharged and wanted to serve with his brothers in the war).

Knowing my uncle, I can see him trying his darndest to re-enlist; all his life, he was an honorable man and hard-working.
