Visitation for Patsy S. Reeves of Norfork will be 9AM to 9PM Friday with the family receiving friends for 6 to 8PM at the Roller Funeral Home. Mrs. Reeves,49, died Tuesday (Oct 22, 1991) at Baxter County Regional Hospital.
Services will be at 10AM Saturday at the Arkana Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard James officiating. Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery with Terry Lucy, Arvil Kelley, Roe Whitfield, Dean Whitfield, Levi Whitfield and Jack Whitfield serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Vernon Potts, Demer Sanders, Dennis Speak, Joe Whitfield, Rowland Scott, Dan Hathawasy and George Huff.
Survivors include her husband Billy J. Reeves, at home; a son Doug Reeves of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Jouce Rand of Norfork; her mother, Hattie Ellen Adams Whitfield; four brothers, Roe and Jack Whitfield, both of Norfork, Levi Whitfield of Saratoga, WY, and Dean Whitfield of Brumley, MO; six sisters, Wilma Huff of Norfork, Bobbie Sanders of Calico Rock, Betty Scott of Laramie, WY, Oneida Stevens of Stephensville, TX, Helen Hathaway of Nixa, MO and Norma Speak of Kansas City, MO; a grandson, Cameron Reeves of Tulsa; three granddaughters, Stephanie Reeves of Tulsa and Kayla and Kendra Rand of Norfork; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Allen Whitfiled, a son and a sister.
Mrs. Reeves was born March 27, 1942 and was a lifelong resident of Norfork. She married Bill J. 'Joe' Reeves Aug 24, 1959 at Mt. Home. She was a homemaker and member of the Arkana Baptist Church. Mrs. Reeves loved singing, sewing and cooking. She decorated cakes and liked to play guitar, piano and accordion.
