Graveside services for Elon Ethen Burdick of Norfork were at 10AM Wednesday at Galatia Cemetery at Old Joe with Donnie Speaks officiating. Mr. Burdick died Monday (July 12, 1993) at Calico Rock Medical Center. He was 96.
Mr. Burdick was born May 6, 1897, at Alford, NY, a son of the late Ethen and Mary Homes Burdick. He married the former Katherine Coats, Aug 4, 1962, , at Oswells, PA. He worked for the Southern Tier Concrete Co. and was a Baptist.
He is survived by six daughters,Mary Bowman of Forrest City, Pam Burchfiel of Jacksonville,Lucy Stuck of NY, Brenda Johnson of KS, Rose Julian of Springdale and Connie Bear of Melbourne; a son Roy Lee Johnson of Concordia, KS; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
