Rena Smothers Snedeker, 100, of Walnut Ridge, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.

She was born in Norfork, Arkansas moved to Alicia in 1918 has lived the past twelve years in Walnut Ridge.

She was a homemaker and formerly was a cook at the Alicia School for many years. She was a member of Alicia Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Orbert Snedeker and wife Betty L. Snedeker of Jonesboro; a daughter, Ann Jackson of Jonesboro; a sister, Stella Washburn of Mayflower, two grandchildren, Elaine Blackman and husband Keith of Brookland, and Kendell Snedeker and wife Betty Sue of Alicia and one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Sullivan and husband Adam of North Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay, four brothers, Henry, Earl, Olan and Homer Smothers, and one sister, Zelma Cox.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in Strangers Home Cemetery.
