FORREST CITY -- Melvin Dickerson of Clarendon died Wednesday (Sep 18, 1996) at Stuttgart Memorial Hospital in Stuttgart. He was 68.
Mr. Dickerson was born March 5, 1928, in Norfork to Charles E. and Mable Daniels Dickerson. He married the former Erma McCollum in 1947. He lived in Forrest City before moving to Clarendon. He was retired from Yale Hoist.
He is survived by his wife, at home; two sons, Melvin Dickerson, Jr. and Virgil Dickerson, both of Palestine; a daughter, Carolyn Foster of Wheatley; a sister, Alta Reynolds of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2PM Friday at the Galatia Cemetery in Norfork.
Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home of Forrest City.
