Billy Elmo Meadows, 59, of Hoxie, died Sunday at his home. Born at Black Rock, he was a truck driver and a member of the Hoxie Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Petty Jean Presswood Meadows of the home; a son, Billy Ray Meadows of Hoxie; a daughter, Liberty Zimmerman of Hoxie; three brothers, Edward Meadows and Jimmy Ray Meadows, both of Cord, and Carroll Lee Meadows of Doe Run, Mo.; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 Wednesday afternoon at the Hoxie Church of Christ, with Donald Layne officiating. Burial will follow in Strangers Home Cemetery at Alicia under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge.

Active pallbearers will be Terry Walker, Pleasant Lee Vaulner, Jack French, Steve Coleman, Butch Clements and Jeff Downum.

Honorary pallbearers will include members of the Men's Bible class at Hoxie Church of Christ, Herman Dulaney, J.W. Manns, L.J. Howge, Baudie Harp, J.W. Sauls, Cleo Vinson, Ray Dobbs, Willard Huskey and Luther Fowler.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
