John P. Hill

John Preasley Henry Hill is the son of William Henry and Aletha Jane Folwer Hill. He was born John Presley Hill, but added Henry to his name. He married 21 Oct 1903 to Arrenia Elizabeth Hold. They were the parents of twelve children. John often looked for mussels in the White River and did many other odd jobs. Family lore says he found the largest pearl ever found in the White River about 1918. It was the size of a dime and sold for $500...a small fortune at the time.
