Alma Golden DuVall, age 89, of Atkins, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at the Atkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A daughter of the late Stuart P. and Ada Bell Matthews Haney, she was born June 22, 1916, in Atkins. She was retired from the Levi-Straus Company in Morrilton, and was a life-time member of the Hopewell Baptist Church near Atkins. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Golden; a son, Larry Golden; and a sister, Alta Haney. Survivors include her husband of seventeen years, Bervil F. "Dock" DuVall; a sister, Oneita Johnston of Atkins; two grandchildren and their spouses: Greg and Belinda Golden of Pottsville; and Kim and Stanley Stone of Knoxville; four great-grandchildren: Lara Kersten of Atkins; and Lindsey, Steven and Logan Stone, all of Knoxville; and two great-great-grandchildren, Hunter and Logan Kersten.

The funeral service will be at 2 P.M., on Tuesday at the Hopewell Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Al Sparkman. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery at Atkins, by Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be Stanley Stone, Bill Branch, Billy Don DuVall, Kassen Jamell, Glen Kersten and Sam Young.
