Eldon E. Law, 91, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, in a local nursing home. He was a retired insurance salesman. He was a former owner of Law's Grocery in Lavaca and former owner of a lumber company. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by two sons, Roy Gean Law and Harold Dean Law.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred of the home; a sister, Mavis Fitzgerald of Fort Smith; a brother, Otha Law of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Bryan Law of Farmington, Barry Law of Batesville and Becky Ashcraft of Keifer, Okla.; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Paul H. Williams, Roy Gean Jr., Marvin Richardson, Charles Berry, Joe Sparks and Jimmy Goddard.

Married to Audra Viola Kaylor Dec.9,1935 in Sebastian Co.

Annie Mildred Law, 87, of Fayetteville died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, in Fayetteville. She was formerly of Fort Smith and worked for 40 years for the City of Fort Smith Parks and Recreation Department working primarily at Creekmore Park. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Law; and two sons, Roy Gean Law and Harold Dean Law.

Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. today at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark.

She is survived by her brother, the Rev. Joe Sparks Jr. of Marked Tree; three grandchildren, Bryan Law of Farmington, Barry Law of Batesville and Rebecca Ashwood of Keifer, Okla.; nine great-grandchildren, Brittany, Zachary, Victoria, Cameron and Evan Law, Lee Michael Barber, Kerrie Bunville, Audra Ashwood and Chris Allen Ashwood Jr.

Pallbearers are Paul H. Williams, Charles Berry, Sidney King, Roy Gean Jr. and James Goddard.
