Son of John Alfred & Isabella Thompson Cockrum.
Married Pernetta Jane Casey, January 1, 1878, Ozark County, Missouri.
(William Alfred Cockrum was buried in the Lankford Cemetery. Prior to the impounding of Lake Norfork, his grave was relocated to what is now known as the Custer-Herron Cemetery. The relocation took place in 1943.)
