Mrs. Opal Snow, age 101, of Mountain Home passed away Friday July 1, 2016 at Mountain Home. She was born June 11, 1915 in Holmes County, Ohio to Albert and Sylvia Susanna (Lopez) Gorrell.
Opal was a life-long member of the Nazarene Church and notable for her love of crocheting; a skill she put to use tatting baby blankets and afghans which she donated. She produced so many it can only be said that multitudes were blessed by her generosity.
Opal is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Seel of Mountain Home and her son, Reverend M. Ray Snow and his wife, Jane of Bradenton, Florida. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond, and by her siblings: brother, Francis and sisters, Jessie Taylor and Irma Randles.
Memorial services will be held at the 1st Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 16 at 2 PM with Reverend Mike Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Bible Society, 101 North Independence Mall East FL8, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
