Bobby Dunham Of Evansville Killed In Viet

PRAIRIE GROVE — Army Sgt. lC Bobby Joe Dunham, 32, of Evansville, died Jan. 9 of wounds suffered a day earlier in Vietnam.

The Army notified Sergeant Dunham's family that he was injured in an explosion while attempting to rescue men from a downed aircraft.

He has spent 15 years in the Army and was in his third tour of duty in Vietnam.

He was born Sept. 14, 1936 at West Fork, the son of Glen and Marie Williams Dunham.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Burlene M. Lovejoy Dunham of the home; one son, James Lee and two daughters, Barbara Ellen and Karen Marie, all of the home; his parents of Fayetteville; two brothers, bill of Fayetteville and George of Walla Walla, Wash. and three sisters, Mrs. Betty Haskins of Fayetteville and Mrs. Mary Bolling and Linda, both of Springdale.

Arrangements will be announced by the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
