Son of David Samuel Underwood & Dora Lucila Harrouff Underwood.
Married Mrs. Frankie Lon Phipps Smith, March 3, 1956, Glendale, St. Louis County, Missouri.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Viola Baptist Church for Wilson Underwood, 73, a retired resident of Henderson who died at a Mountain Home hospital on Tuesday.

A retired employee of the Kirkwood, Mo., public schools, Mr. Underwood was a World War I veteran and a member of the Viola Baptist Church. He was born in Lonoke County on Jan. 30, 1896, the son of the late David Samuel Underwood and Dora Harrouff Underwood. He was married to Frankie Smith on March 3, 1956 and they had lived in Baxter County for 3-1/2 years.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frankie Underwood of Henderson; a brother, Frank Underwood of Yates City, Ill., several nieces and nephews.

Rev. C. E. Moses of Viola will officiate at today's service and interment will follow in the Herron Cemetery, in east Baxter County. The McClure Service is in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers will be Henry Hill, Willis S. Hill, Paul Jones, Baley C. See, Lester Nichols and Ray Simmons.
