February 28, 1940 - October 2, 2008
GARY PAUL PHILLIPS, 68, of Cassville, Mo., died on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at his home in Cassville.
Mr. Phillips was born on Feb. 28, 1940, in Kansas City, Mo. He was the son of Edwin and Pauline (Hamilton) Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a veteran of the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from active duty, he went to work for Pryor Brass Fence Company in Kansas City, Mo. After his employment with Pryor Brass, Gary became a self-employed fence contractor with various companies including Montgomery Ward.
Survivors include, his best friend and companion of 16 years, Molly Phillips, of Cassville; two step-sons, Rick Harnishfeger, and his wife, Brenda, of Butterfield, Mo., and Steve Binam, and his wife, Mel, of Jasper, Mo.; one step-daughter, Pamela Binam of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, and one daughter.
Military graveside services were held on Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 at the Williams Cemetery in Carroll County between Carr Lane and Berryville.
Arrangements were under the direction of White Funeral Home in Cassville.
