Robert Lawrence “R. L.” Waters, age 64 of Marble Falls passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at his home. He was born in Casa Grande, Arizona on February 22, 1946, the son of Ernest and Wilma (Eddings) Waters.

R. L. was a beloved father, son, brother and grandfather that will be dearly missed. He was of the nondenominational faith, had worked for Pace Industries in Harrison for 29 years and then retired from the Boone County Road Department. Everyone was always welcomed in his home and he enjoyed gardening, floating the Buffalo and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Kimberly and one son, William.

Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Wanda Waters of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Rosetta Waters; a daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Roger Ricketts, and son, Randall Lewis all of Marble Falls and son and daughter-in-law Jody and Sandra Waters of Alpena; brothers, Don and Pat Waters of Harrison and Bill Waters of Hollister, Missouri; sisters, Trish Edwards, Ernestine Myers, Linda Waters and Debbie Scott all of Harrison and Janie Rudd of Alpena; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services was Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Brother James Compton officiating. Burial followed in Shaddox Cemetery in Pruitt. Visitation was Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Kurt and Cody Ricketts, Nathan and Colten Waters and Evan and Ryan Lewis. Honorary pallbearers were his granddaughters and grandchildren, Brandi, Amanda, Tori, Trea, Lorena, Tristen, Conner and Jessa.
