Ms. Fruza Young Rogers
June 30, 1913 - July 22, 2010 Hot Springs, AR

Fruza Young Rogers, 97, of Hot Springs died July 22, 2010. Fruza was born June 30, 1913 to Agee Abram and Clara Dunning Price Young in Little Rock, AR.

Survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins of the Young, Price and Rogers Families. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Rogers II, her brother Edward Janney Young, sister Clara Dunning Young and her parents.

Fruza was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she also served as deacon, and a member of the Little Rock Pilot Club. Fruza volunteered with the Red Cross during WWII and was a member of various children’s organizations serving on many boards. She was also very active with the Girl Scouts of America and the NSDAR.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday July 26, 2010 at Gross Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation prior beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Crestview Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband and sister. Reverend David Kenser will be officiating.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Fruza Rogers Scholarship Fund, c/o Ouachita Girl Scouts Council, 100 S. Spring St., Searcy, AR 72143.
