FAYETTEVILLE — Vernon E. Sisemore, 71, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born May 5, 1936, in Japton to Homer Earl and Bethel Stout Sisemore.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lois Tanniehill Sisemore of the home; two sons, Vernon Sisemore of Springdale and David Sisemore of the home; two daughters, Tamara Hernandez of Bentonville and Tina Dillard of Dallas; two brothers, Herman Sisemore of Lowell and Lewis Sisemore of Seligman, Mo.; one sister, Freda Hughes of Springdale; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one very special brother-in-law, Lawrence Tanniehill of Elkins, and one very special niece, Sharon Bates of Hazel Valley, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Vernon was a block and brick mason who lived to build. His entire life was built around his love of his family, God and country. The simple life was very important to him. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Stuckey Cemetery in Johnson.
