J. O. Carter Dies South of City
J. O. Carter, prominent planter of this section who resided south of this city for many years, was claimed by death this morning about eleven o’clock at St. Bernard’s Hospital following an operation.
Mr. Carter was well known in this vicinity having resided near here the greater part of his life. He is the father of a large family and a devout member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at Mount Pisgah Church. Interment will be in charge of J. B. Gregg and Sons.
