Thelma Smith

Thelma Smith was born on January 26, 1925 to George and Maggie Fowler Hensley. She was the common law wife of Gene Meeks for over 25 years. She was a waitress, who worked in the restaurant business for many years. Thelma lived in Mountain Home for 30 years moving from Rapid City, SD. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She loved to sew and spend time with friends and neighbors.

Survivors: She is survived by her husband Gene Meeks of Mountain Home, daughter, Myrtle Copeland of Mountain Home, one sister, Virgie Bird of Michigan and close friends, Charlie Copeland and Family of Mountain Home, David and Angel Strain and Family of Mountain Home, Marie Connelly of Mountain Home, and Auda Graves of Cotter.

Preceded in Death by: Parents, George and Maggie Hensley.

Visitation: Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home on Monday, January 8, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Funeral: Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 2:00 P.M.

Burial: East Oakland Cemetery in Mountain Home, Arkansas
