Fred C. Paxton, 92, of Jonesboro, passed away on Thursday October, 8, 2009, at his home.

He was born in Alicia on April 11, 1917, to the late Roy and OraLee Fallis Paxton.

Mr. Paxton was the assistant director of field services at ASU. He was a member of Stone Street Church of Christ.

He leaves behind his two daughters, Barbara Baughn of Tulsa, OK and Freda Waters of Huntville, AR; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Paxton; and a brother, Faris Paxton.

Burial was at Calvin Cemetery near Alicia.

Pallbearers will include Charles Paxton, Chance Baughn, Byron Paxton, Kemuel Camp, Sam Cossey and Phil Cullison.

Honorary pallbearers will include Phil Pickle, Gary Smith and Steve Stoker.
