The Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, Arkansas, October 16, 1942:
Mrs. Elvira Green, 89, born and reared in Baxter County, died Saturday and burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Survivors are two sons and two daughters; Albert, Jim, Mrs. Lee Britt and Mrs. Dan Buckner.
(Note: Gravestone shows birth year as 1872 which would be two years prior to her marriage where she was listed as age 18. In her 1942 obituary, she was shown as being 89 years of age which would make the birth year 1854.)
