Merle Bonds 85, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at Ozark Health Nursing Center Clinton, Arkansas. She was born January 16, 1924 at Shirley, Arkansas to the late Walter and Fronia Harper Baker.
She was a member of the Pee Dee Baptist Church in Clinton. She was a homemaker and her life was centered on her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Kelley Bonds, and brothers Dean and Aaron Baker.
She is survived by daughter Donna Ricketts and husband Harvey of Bentonville, daughter Linda Lewis and husband James of Greenbrier, son Max Bonds and wife Kathie of Greenbrier, and son Sid Bonds and wife Shelia of Clinton; five grandchildren Kristen Carter and husband Brad of Clarksville Tennessee, Amy Collins and husband Eric of Clinton, Kevin Bonds and wife Kim of Greenbrier, Courtney Calloway and husband Ben of North Little Rock, Cruz Bonds of Clinton; three great-grandchildren Natalie Burns of Greenbrier, Kelley and Kennalea Collins of Clinton, three sisters Emma Jean Hutson of Clinton, Freeda Nichols of Clinton, Yvonne Hall of Sunnymead, California, and one brother John Baker of Clinton, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the Ozark Health Nursing Center nurses and aids for the excellent care they gave "MOM" during her brief stay with them.
Memorials may be sent to a charity of their choice or to Pee Dee Baptist Church in Clinton.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Chapel Clinton, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be 11:00am Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Pee Dee Baptist Church Clinton, Arkansas with Pastor, Kyle Blanton officiating. Private Interment.
Funeral Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Clinton, Arkansas.
