Robert's parents were Jesse J and Mary Ann Cox Delozier. His parents were married 13 July 1847 in Roane Co, Tennessee. Soon after, the family moved into Hamilton Co near Long Savannah. Living with them was Mary's mother, Lucinda Cox.
Death notice as posted by the Gentry, Ark Journal-Advance, Nov 13, 1930.
"R. W. Delozier Passes Away
R. W. Delozier passed away at this home in Elm Springs last week. He was the father of Mrs. C. H. Sherman, of Mansfield, Ark. Rev. and Mrs. Sherman were former residents of Gentry, he having been at one time pastor of the M. E. Church here."
