Derebery (aka Dayberry) Cemetery
Boone County,

This cemetery is long abandoned and in the woods behind an old school house. Directions from Harrison - begin at the intersection of Hwy 62 & Hwy 65: Take Hwy 65N 8.9 miles, turn right on “old Highway 65 toward Omaha, drive 4.3 miles. At the intersection of old Hwy 65 & Hwy 14, turn left to follow Hwy 14. Travel 5.8 miles, turn left onto Old Lowry Rd and go 3.3 miles. Take right onto Dayberry Lane (no sign there, just an overgrown old abandoned road). Travel .2 miles (through large mud holes) to the Derebery School (very old building on left). Just before you get to the school there is what appears to be a turn around and is actually the “old town center”.

The Derebery Cemetery is abandoned and is approximately 20-30 steps through the woods behind the old school.

The Cemetery is in much disrepair and best visited in cold weather. Completed 15 Aug 2008.
