John Dillard died Sunday, December 9, 2007 in Mountain Home at the age of 90. John Dillard was born Saturday, May 26, 1917 in Ponotoc, Mississippi, to the late Lawrence and Lavesta Mae Reynolds Dillard . He married Bea Vaughn Dillard on December 6, 1933 at Ponotoc, Mississippi. John lived in Mountain Home for 33 years, moving from Memphis, TN in 1974. He was a local building contractor who started his building career in 1941 at Memphis, TN and retired after 40 years. John was active at First Baptist Church, where he served as a Gideon and Deacon and also loved to work in his yard.

Dillard of Mountain Home, AR, Daughter, Patricia (Doyal) Brown of Memphis, TN, 5 sisters, Jay East of Lebanon, Tn, Lillie Mae Lepard of Memphis, TN, Ruby Thompson of Ponotoc, MS, Gladys Gillespie of Ponotoc, MS, Joyce Dillard of Ponotoc, MS, Grandson, Brad Dillard of Memphis, TN, 5 Grandaughters, Lisa Brown of Tupelo, MS, Angela Spear of Lynn Haven, FL, Laurie Walls of Memphis, TN, Jennifer Laurent of Stuttgart, AR, Leann Beasley of Memphis, TN, 5 great-grandchildren, Abby Spear, Gracie Spear, Zoe Laurent, Chasiti Beasley, and Gage Beasley.
Preceded in Death by: his parents, 5 sisters, and 1 great-granddaughter.


Mary Beatrice "Bea" Dillard
October 13, 1920 - July 6, 2013

A Funeral Service for Mary Beatrice "Bea" Dillard of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Tad Rogers officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Bea passed away July 6, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 92. She was born October 13, 1920, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, the daughter of Robert and Cindy Graham Vaughn. She married John Henry Dillard on December 6, 1933, at Pontotoc, Mississippi and was a homemaker. Bea lived in Mountain Home since moving from Memphis, Tennessee, in 1974. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church. Bea was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to sew and cook. She was a good listener, friend, and mother. Bea was great at giving John directions in the garden.

Bea is survived by her son, John (Judy) Dillard of Mountain Home, AR, daughter, Patricia (Doyal) Brown of Bartlett, TN, six grandchildren, Angela (Randy) Spear of Lynn Haven, FL; Brad (Sue) Dillard of Memphis, TN; Duane Laurent of Lynn Haven, FL; Lisa Brown of Tupelo, MS; Laurie (Al) Walls of Oakland, TN; and Leann (Kevin) Beasley of Greenback, TN, eight great-grandchildren, Chasity and Gage Beasley, Abby (Terry Lee) Kirkland, Gracie Spear, Zoe and Alivia Laurent, and Grady and Everett Dillard, and one sister, Linda Blackmore, of Memphis, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Jennifer Laurent, great-granddaughter, Scout Walls, and two sisters, Daisy Armor and Geneva Hammond.

Burial will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Brad Dillard, Duane Laurent, Kevin Beasley, and Al Walls as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas or Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
