Reverend Harold D. Barnett, age 82 of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. He was born September 15, 1928 in Gassville, Arkansas to William E. and Vera E. (Robinson) Barnett.
Rev. Barnett married Betty “Jorene” Hodges December 20, 1948 in Mountain Home. He was a retired minister for several local Baptist churches that he served for 40 years. He was a member of the Clarkridge Zion Baptist Church.
Rev. Barnett is survived by his wife: Jorene Barnett of Mountain Home, two sons: Roger Barnett of Mountain Home and Michael Barnett and wife Jill of Hot Springs, Arkansas, a daughter: Karen Dewey and husband Alfred of Mountain Home, four grandchildren: Chad and Jeremy Dewey, Sara Ivory and Brian Barnett and six great-grandchildren: Jacob Barnett, Xavier Ivory, Leah, Lauren, Libby and Adelynn Dewey. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Connie Barnett, two brothers, a sister and his parents.
