Lillian Marie Nosari, age 92, of Mountain Home where she had lived for 12 ½ years, formerly of Little Rock, died Sunday, February 18, 2007. She was born August 4, 1914, in Troy, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas and Anna Johnson. She married Elmo Robert Nosari, and they were married for 43 years before his death in 1979.
She was an avid baseball mom who could and would give the umpires a hard time over bad calls, especially ones against her sons. She encouraged her boys to bring their friends home and enjoyed cooking for them, particularly her spaghetti, roasts and wonderful pies. Lillian was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons: Robert (Judy) Nosari: Mountain Home, Arkansas; Joe (Monterey) Nosari: Tallahassee, Florida; and Jim (Kay) Nosari: Little Rock, Arkansas; her grandchildren: Robyn Barnes, Stacey Willard, Robert Nosari, Jr., Christopher Nosari, David Nosari, Karen Hallern, Courtney Nosari, and Kelly Nosari; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister: Alene Pinkerton: Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters: Fern Goodson, Alice Price, Ruth Robinette, and Ruby McKinnon; and brothers: Thomas, W.R., Comer and Luie Johnson.
