Ruth Marie Acton of Oklahoma City, formerly of Mountain Home, died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the age of 81.
She was born in Mountain Home on January 12, 1925 to Nell and Fred Gustafson. She married Dudley Acton in June,1948. A graduate of the University of Arkansas, she was a science teacher in the public schools in Beaver, Oklahoma and Mountain Home. She and her husband Dudley were long-time owners of the Piggly Wiggly grocery in Mountain Home. She was a life-long member of the First Christian Church of Mountain Home.
Mrs. Acton is survived by two daughters: Janet Liston and husband David of Bradenton, Florida, and Dixie Ledbetter and husband Al of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandsons Ted (wife Anne) and Grant of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her husband Dudley, daughter Joan and brother Clive Gustafson.
