Ronald Gilbert (George) Albright, 78, of Mountain Home passed away peacefully on June 21st, 2006 at Hospice House, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He was born on December 18th, 1927 in Monroe, WI to Gilbert and Grace Albright. From Monroe his family moved to Mattoon, Illinois. From Mattoon he enlisted in the US Navy where he always said he served as “chief cook and bottle washer.”

He married Mary Frances Cossey on August 22nd, 1950. They were married for 40 years until her death in 1990. George married Dalena Showalter-Jensen on January 12th, 1991.

His career with Central Soya started in Memphis, Tennessee in 1950 and took him to Madison, WI, Portland, MI, and Ft. Wayne, IN. He loved his work and the many remarkable acquaintances who became his lifelong friends.

He found his retirement dream home and spent the past 31 years on the White River in Norfork, Arkansas. Many of his best times were spent here with long-time friends and family.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Dalena, with whom his children give their utmost love and thanks. His children include Sherry Albright of Mountain Grove, MO, Alice Albright of Seattle, WA, Thomas Albright of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Debra Curnow of Mountain Home. He leaves his twin brother Donald (Doc) Albright and sister Joyce Cisna both from Mattoon, IL. His grandchildren include Ryan Puntney, Jon and Jane Albright, Derek Curnow, and Bailey, Derek, and Kirt Jensen. He had one great grandchild, Mia Irene Albright.
