McCAMY, Robert - Died, at his late residence on White River on the 8th instant, Hon. Robert McCamy, in the 75th year of his age, after a painful illness of six days. Thus has passed from our midst one of our oldest and best citizens; a prominent member of society; a devout christian; a true friend; an affectionate father and kind companion. He had served long in the councils of our State as well as in his native State, Alabama; and filled many other honorable stations with credit to himself and honor to his constituents. But 'tis past; his hoary head has been laid low by the ruthless hand of death; his immortal spirit has taken its etherial flight to realms of bliss where all who emulate his example and give heed to his counsels may, at no distant day, expect to greet him in a happy re-union. His disconsolate family and mourning friends should ever remember that their earthly loss is his eternal gain and look forward with the hope of true christians to the end. A Friend.
