DOUGLAS, Clifton - {from Oak Grove} Clifton Douglas, son of Decatur and Maggie Douglas of near here, died last Friday morning of measles-pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.H. Sears at the house and then the Masonic and Odd Fellows' lodges. Burial was made in Douglas cemetery. Clifton was a fine young man and liked by all who knew him and will be greatly missed in this community. Fred, a brother, recently returned from the training camp and became ill with the measles and all the members of the family had them with the exception of the father. Zelma's case developed into pneumonia but she is now out of danger. Clifton was born near Maysville on Sept. 25th, 1892. He professed Christ when but 12 years of age. He leaves parents, four brothers and three sisters, as well as other relatives and hosts of friends who will miss him. Garland Douglas, the brother in the Great Lakes training school, did not get to come home for the funeral, although a telegram was sent.
