Emil was the son of Ulysses G. and Minmie B. (____) Cassady. He had at least one brother E. Chase. Emil attended the Georgia School of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. His WWI Draft Card describes Emil as tall and slender with blue eyes and dark hair.
