Charles Bruce Bond, 40, resident of Greenland, was pronounced dead on arrival at the City Hospital, where he was taken by a Nelson's ambulance after suffering a heart attack at his home yesterday about noon.

Mr. Bond was born September 4, 1913, at Fayetteville, the son of Floyd and Ida Bond. He was an auctioneer, a member of the Parksdale Baptist Church, and was married to Mary Lee Stansberry, April 11, 1937, in Fayetteville.

He is survived by his wife of the home; four daughters, Donna Lee, Peggy Joan, Sharon Kay, and Debra Ann, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bond of Fayetteville; one brother, James (Pete) Bond of Greenland; and one sister, Mrs. Bobbie Louise Karnes, Greenland.

Funeral arrangements, in charge of Nelson's Funeral Home, are incomplete.

Mary Lee Bond Smith, 90, of Farmington, died Monday, February 7, 2011 at Washington Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 13, 1920 at Van Buren, Arkansas, the daughter of Henry and Lela Finch Stanberry.

She was a homemaker and a member of Unity Baptist Church and Freewill Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Peachtree Village of Farmington and the Fayetteville Senior Center.

She is survived by: Four daughters: Donna Bradshaw & her husband Manuel of Greenland Peggy Gomez of Fayetteville and late husband Frank Kay Hancock & her husband Carroll of Fayetteville Debbie Sawyer & her husband John of Fayetteville A son: Neil Smith & his wife Sondra of Fayetteville Three sisters A sister-in-law Six grandchildren: Bruce Bradshaw & his wife Donna Pam Baldridge & her husband Gary Brad Shipley & his wife Sue Ben Hancock & his wife Lisa Schara Baldridge and her husband Trent Angie Kichline and her husband Cory Seven great-grandchildren Two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, February 12 at Moore's Chapel with Rev. Lester Shadrick officiating. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday at Moore's Chapel.
